Great weekend getaway to Sedona, AZ

My wife and I were looking for a long weekend getaway someplace new without having to get on a plane. We found exactly what we were looking for a day's drive from Coronado. We spent three nights in Sedona and had a very memorable vacation.

Here were our top experiences:
-We had a wonderful, personalized stay at Cathedral Hideway Bed & Breakfast. The hosts were wonderful, the custom ordered food wonderful, the views amazing and the room had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub, patio and flat screen tv. Click here to see their website.
-Hike to the top of Cathedral Rock. It is a 3 hour round trip hike that is well worth it. It is beautiful on the way up and stunning from the top to see the panoramic views of Sedona. There is some steep climbing. Bring lunch to eat at the top.
-Watch the sunset from Chapel of the Holy Cross.
-Have lunch on the outdoor deck at Tii Gavo resturant of the Enchantment Resort. It is the best view we found and yummy food.
-Go see the Palatki Indian Ruins and petroglyphs (near the Enchantment Resort).
-Have dinner at Dahl and DiLuca for a romantic atmosphere and great food.
-Take in the view from Airport Mesa.

Sedona is a very different topography than our normal island dwellings. The Red Rock beauty is refreshing and we can't wait to go back!

Yours Truly,
A Nado Local
